What is Avalanche Network C-Chain?

Avalanche is a unique blockchain that utilises its Avalanche Consensus Protocol, offering scaling capabilities and rapid confirmation times as core features.

The Avalanche blockchain consists of three chains: the Exchange chain, the Platform chain, and the Contract chain.

If you wish to interact with Avalanche's Contract mainnet and testnet, specifically for executing EVM contracts and smart contracts, follow the steps below:

Update Avalanche Mainnet in Metamask:

1. Open Metamask and locate the network name at the window's top-left corner.

2. Click the "Add Network" button at the bottom of the pop-up window.

3. Afterwards, you'll be directed to a compilation of the most popular networks that are accessible:

4. Click “Add” and then “Approve”.

After saving, you will have the option to switch to the Avalanche Network within the dropdown list. Or you can switch to Avalanche Network C-Chain by clicking on the popup window that will show.
